DIY Room Storage

Hey again! So this post will be all about different ways that you can recycle old glass jars and make them look cute in your bedroom. These ideas are really cheap and a great way to organize different objects that you want on show.
First, I've decided to show you where I keep my lip products. This is actually a Nutella jar and is the perfect size to keep all my lip balms organized! Once we'd finished off the Nutella, I took the labels off and washed the jar. An easy way of getting sticky labels off jars is letting it soak in hot soapy water for a few minutes until you can easily peel off the label without leaving excess glue on the jar. This basically cost nothing since we had an empty Nutella jar left over anyway.
This second jar is my favourite because of the size and the cute heart shape on the front. I actually bought this one from TK Maxx (or TJ Maxx if you're from America) just because I'd been looking for one to organize my makeup brushes without ruining them.  However, it was really cheap and I'm pretty sure that any homeware store will have them. I put some colourful gems and stones in the bottom of this jar because I have smaller brushes and this way they could stand up properly.  I didn't use shop-bought clear beads since I had these already, and personally I think the colour looks so much nicer.
Okay, so jars like this are a little harder to find, but we had this weird jam that came in a teddy bear shaped jar so obviously I had to adopt it! (Not gonna lie, I only bought it for the cute jar) Jars like this are just great for any storage in general, but I use it as a pencil pot because the size was perfect and the jar looks adorable in my room. When I'm not using it to store pencils, I even have a little top hat for the bear jar, and inside the hat I store scented tealights! (I'm such a loser)
This jar was actually a jar for Marshmellow Fluff (if you've never had any, go buy some, it's life-changing) and it's made from plastic, which is probably way better for me because I'm clumsy as hell and me and glass don't mix. Again, its the perfect size for pens and pencils and looks great in my room.
I use this last jar for my favourite nail polishes because I'm a bit weird and like to keep them organized while having them on show.  This was originally a jar of honey but I found a better lid that actually fitted, and decided to keep it in my room.  When I get round to it I might paint the lid white to go with the white and purple theme of my room.

Tomorrow might be pretty busy for me, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to make time to post, so sorry if theres no new update!  Thanks so much for reading, from Jemma xoxo
