DIY Room Storage

Hey again! So this post will be all about different ways that you can recycle old glass jars and make them look cute in your bedroom. These ideas are really cheap and a great way to organize different objects that you want on show.
First, I've decided to show you where I keep my lip products. This is actually a Nutella jar and is the perfect size to keep all my lip balms organized! Once we'd finished off the Nutella, I took the labels off and washed the jar. An easy way of getting sticky labels off jars is letting it soak in hot soapy water for a few minutes until you can easily peel off the label without leaving excess glue on the jar. This basically cost nothing since we had an empty Nutella jar left over anyway.
This second jar is my favourite because of the size and the cute heart shape on the front. I actually bought this one from TK Maxx (or TJ Maxx if you're from America) just because I'd been looking for one to organize my makeup brushes without ruining them.  However, it was really cheap and I'm pretty sure that any homeware store will have them. I put some colourful gems and stones in the bottom of this jar because I have smaller brushes and this way they could stand up properly.  I didn't use shop-bought clear beads since I had these already, and personally I think the colour looks so much nicer.
Okay, so jars like this are a little harder to find, but we had this weird jam that came in a teddy bear shaped jar so obviously I had to adopt it! (Not gonna lie, I only bought it for the cute jar) Jars like this are just great for any storage in general, but I use it as a pencil pot because the size was perfect and the jar looks adorable in my room. When I'm not using it to store pencils, I even have a little top hat for the bear jar, and inside the hat I store scented tealights! (I'm such a loser)
This jar was actually a jar for Marshmellow Fluff (if you've never had any, go buy some, it's life-changing) and it's made from plastic, which is probably way better for me because I'm clumsy as hell and me and glass don't mix. Again, its the perfect size for pens and pencils and looks great in my room.
I use this last jar for my favourite nail polishes because I'm a bit weird and like to keep them organized while having them on show.  This was originally a jar of honey but I found a better lid that actually fitted, and decided to keep it in my room.  When I get round to it I might paint the lid white to go with the white and purple theme of my room.

Tomorrow might be pretty busy for me, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to make time to post, so sorry if theres no new update!  Thanks so much for reading, from Jemma xoxo

Statement Necklaces pt 6

Hi again! I'm in love with this rose gold chained and pink flowered necklace. The flower has nude pink petals and a silver diamond center (not real diamonds!). I thought that it went really well with this white crop shirt because the colours look so nice together. The top is from Topshop and comes in other colours as well. The flower necklace is from H&M, but they also have a huge range of really pretty statement necklaces. So if you want one H&M would be a brilliant option. Keep in mind that some of the necklaces can sometimes be quite pricey but well worth the money! Thank you so much for reading, from Jemma xoxoxoxo

Statement Necklaces pt 5

Hey! Sorry for not posting yesterday, I'll make up for it with 2 today :) I love this necklace so so so much!  It has silver beads threaded onto a black rope, and at the bottom it has this amazing pendant which has so many different rainbow colours all over it.  Its not shown here, but when the sun shines on the necklace, it projects a spectrum all over, which is so eye catching and beautiful!  It can also be put with practically any outfit, but personally I think it looks the best with something plain as it draws attention to all the colours.
The white summer dress is from Primark (as always) and the necklace was from a cute market in a mall near me, but you can easily find ones like it in so many other places.

Statement Necklaces pt 4

Sorry I didn't post yesterday everyone! Anyway, I think this long feathery necklace went really well with the colour and the lace pattern of the playsuit, giving an ordinary black outfit a more boho vibe which is great for festivals or parties! The necklace is from Internacionale and the playsuit is from Primark, The necklace hangs on a few pieces of black cord and has gold beads to make it more eyecatching.  At the bottom there are black feathers and golden leaves to give it a darker feel, which could look great with any colour or style of top and is great for making a statement!  If you liked this post and would like to see more, give this blog a follow :)

Statement Necklaces pt 3

I'm so in love with these triangle statement necklaces! This one is in pastel pink and looks great with almost any colour (especially blacks and whites). The chain is rose gold and goes perfectly with the pastel pink. I generally like to wear this necklace with anything black as it really helps to make the outfit stand out more and add colour, which is essential for any smart-casual looks, or even formal looks.  The necklace is from New Look and the top is from Primark.

Statement Necklaces pt 2

I paired this white floral top from New Look with a rose gold chained flower necklace from H&M. Although the top is patterned, the necklace really stands out against it and makes the outfit look so much better. This necklace is also great to wear with any other type of shirt, especially halter tops or dresses and can draw so much more attention towards your look in general!

Statement Necklaces

So over the past few weeks I've been wondering how jewellery can make a plain outfit look so much nicer.  Statement necklaces are a great way of customizing any plain outfit and are easy to find in any store. Thank you to my sister who helped model for these photos. The necklace she is wearing is from Primark and has a gold chain with little white roses which is good for adding a floral touch to any outfit. The black crop jumper that she is wearing is from Topshop and is good for wearing with anything high-waisted.

Last Minute Hairstyles pt 3

This look is a low down messy bun. Yet again this look is great for a more casual look, or if done more neatly it could also suit a formal look. You can have this bun higher up your head, it just depends on how you want it to look. If you have any loose strands of hair, you could either leave it down for a messier look, or clip them back with bobby pins to look neater.  This choker is from River Island and the top is from H&M but these tops are popular so you can find lots of ones like them at most fashion clothes shops. Last Minute Hairstyles pt 2

This really cute white top is from Primark (again) and the choker is from River Island :-)
This hairstyle would be great as a casual look and can also look amazing at the same time!
To do this, I just plaited my hair to the side and teased it a little, and as my hair can get quite frizzy I find that clipping it back goes more with the hairstyle.

This is my first upload- thought it would be fun to start a blog about my lifestyle and my favourite looks!  My cardigan is from Primark.  More hairstyles are yet to come, and hopefully you'll enjoy my posts :-)
